U10 Program

About U10

The U10 program is the first level of individual competition for boys and girls who have acquired basic skiing skills. Some will have been members of a Nancy Greene team; others may have no previous racing experience. Like Nancy Greene, the U10 program is an entry level program (AIM 2 WIN, “Learning to Train” phase) designed to introduce children to basic skiing and ski racing skills. Consistent with the emphasis on fundamentals, training prepares children for skiing all kinds of terrain and snow conditions (bumps, ice, and crud). Racing focuses on GS events. Physical conditioning and training focuses on the development of physical capacities such as agility, balance, co-ordination and speed (ABCs).

The u10 race schedule consists of Slalom races.

Age: 8 or 9 years old as of December 31 of the current race season. Underage skiers may be accepted as well.

Based on community feedback, we are excited to introduce a 1-Day U10 Pilot Program for the 2026/27 season!

Info
This option is designed for families seeking a stepping stone between our Nancy Greene program and the full 2-day competitive pathway, providing structured U10 technical development with greater weekend flexibility.
Program Details & Structure
Weekend Schedule: 1 dedicated weekend day per week (Saturday or Sunday - TBD).

Included Flex Days: To ensure value, 1-Day U10 athletes will receive 2 Flex Days to make up for missed sessions or get extra time on the snow (or race day).

Mid-Week Gate Training: Access to our optional Wednesday evening sessions is included. Mid-week training runs alongside our older cohorts, focusing on fundamental ski movement and gate work where appropriate.
Pilot Requirements & Next Steps
To ensure we can maintain our low athlete-to-coach ratios and cover dedicated coaching costs for this cohort, the 1-Day pilot requires a minimum threshold of registered athletes.

Already Registered for U10? If you have already registered for the 2-day option but would prefer to switch to the 1-day program, please reach out to us directly.
