Outaouais Ski Zone

The Outaouais Ski Zone is a provincially recognized non-profit organization established to promote alpine ski racing in the Outaouais region. The Zone is composed of six ski clubs: Académie Sainte Marie, Club de ski La Descente, Edelweiss Ski Club, Vorlage Ski Club, Mont Ste-Marie Ski Club and the Mont Cascade Ski Club. The membership is composed of more than 200 skiers between the age of 6 and 18, some 30 certified coaches and 60 Club and Zone officials, and a large number of parents. We recruit ski racers from both sides of the Ottawa River and we offer bilingual services.

The Zone represents regional interests at the Québec Ski Federation and organizes alpine ski racing activities and programs in the Outaouais region in cooperation with the National Capital Division. Our programs offer skiers of all levels the opportunity to develop their full potential in a safe, bilingual and dynamic environment.

Alpine Canada

Alpine Canada Alpin (ACA) is the governing body for alpine ski racing in Canada with more than 50,000 athletes, coaches, officials and volunteer members and over 200,000 supporting members. ACA manages the high performance programs for the athletes of the Canadian Alpine Ski Team and the Canadian Para-Alpine Ski Team who represent Canada throughout the world.

Nancy Greene Ski League

The Nancy Greene Ski League is the grass roots program of Alpine Canada Alpin - while national in scope, it is operated by the provincial associations and the many affiliated ski clubs across the country. Each club offers the type of program that fits their situation while following the guidelines set out by their division or zone and keeping in mind the national philosophy.

Husky Snow Stars

The Husky Snow Stars is a skill development tool for young skiers.

This seven-step program will guide the child, coach, and parent through a progression that is aligned with the Long Term Athlete Development Plan (AIM 2 WIN).

Optimal motor skill development takes place primarily between the ages of 5 to 12. For this reason the program is aimed generally at young skiers from Entry level to the end of K1. Husky Snow Stars provides clubs and coaches guidance through the early "Windows of Trainability" where it is critical to carry out the "Right Athletic Development at the Right Time".
