Welcome to Vorlage Racing Club
The Vorlage
Racing Club, which has been in operation for more than 30 years,
is a not for profit organization dedicated for providing young
athletes with the skills and opportunity to race in a fun and
challenging environment. Our club is home to approximately 85
racers ranging in age from 6 to 17.
Our club is a member of the Outaouais Ski Zone, racing throughout
Western Quebec, Eastern Ontario and the Laurentiens. Other members
of the zone include Camp Fortune, Mont Ste Marie, Edelweiss,
Mont Cascades, and Calabogie.

Junior Update (Jan10)
Well our first race is out of the way. Its been a good start given the limited steep pitch training that the Juniors have had.
For the women, Caroline finished 6th and Paula 14th. Great work!!
For the men, Francis finished 13th, Patrick 15th, David 16th and Stuart 17th. This has all the indications of a healthy competition during the remainder of the race season.

K2 (Jan 10)
Our K2 Racers had a very busy weekend with a slalom race at Camp Fortune on Saturday and a GS race at MSM on Sunday.
The girls had a great weekend - all three girls made the top 15 in their 1st slalom run! Nicole came 5th in both events. Victoria had a 12th place finish in slalom and 16th in GS. Martine had very fast runs in both of her first K2 races.
We had two boys in the top 20 each day - Greg 15th and Zander 20th in Slalom - Ross 10th and Eric 20th in GS. Nick broke into the top 25 on Sunday's GS.
Considering the limited number of gates the team has been able to train so far our K2 athletes started off the season with a couple of good races.

I2 News (Feb 2)
Well we had our second I2 race of the season and can honestly say that Vorlage Rocks!!! We have had great results so far this year.
Last Saturday, we had 3 girls in the top 20 in Race 1 and Sophie Thomas and Danielle Bernard finishing top 10 in Race 2. Way to go.
For the boys, in Race 1, we had Cal Gray on the podium with a silver medal with Nathan Hoyte narrowly missing the podium in 6th spot, followed by Alex Guimont and Damon Kral in the top 15.
In Race 2, we had 2 podium finishes with Alex Guimont taking 1st place and Damon Kral in 4th place, followed by Nathan Hoyte in 8th, Eric Guimont in 10th, Alex Taylor in 12th and Graeme Hillier in 13th , making 6 in the top 15.

Ski-A-Thon - Feb 13
The Ski-a-thon will be Feb 13 in the morning for the NG, I2 and K1 athletes. We will have a new format this year so that the athletes are more challenged. |
